Position Summary The Director, Human Resources (DHR) is responsible for aligning the organization’s people strategy with its overall business objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the Board and Senior Leadership Team on all human capital matters, ensuring that HR initiatives drive business performance and organizational effectiveness.

The DHR anticipates and responds to evolving HR needs, workforce risks, and changes in employment legislation. The role partners across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees, while maintaining strong business acumen, including an understanding of the organization’s financial position, strategic priorities, culture, and competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Build and maintain strong business partnering relationships with senior leaders to understand key business drivers, success measures, and strategic priorities
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, practices, and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR support for change management initiatives, including organizational design, cost optimization, crisis management, talent management, communication, and performance management.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, including headcount approvals, job postings, candidate screening and selection, offer management, and background verification.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR Services, Payroll partners, and regional HR Business Partners across Asia.
  • Analyze workforce data and performance metrics to contribute workforce planning and drive data-driven HR initiatives.
  • Lead the transformation and migration of the HR system by 2026
  • Partner with the Legal Department to complete organizational Data Protection initiatives and ensure compliance.
Requirements: -
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in HR generalist roles at a management level.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret global, regional, and local business contexts and translate insights into actionable HR strategies.
  • Knowledge of local employment law and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in recruitment and industrial relations.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications or Supply Chain/Logistics industry will be an added advantage.
  • Regional HR exposure in Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and China is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual proficiency relevant to Malaysian operations is an added advantage.
