Role Description

CVS Health is offering a unique opportunity to be part of an extremely talented team within CVS Specialty as a Benefits Verification Representative. This position will require you to:

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Utilize problem-solving skills.
• Be a highly focused, performance-driven individual with a background in pharmacy or the healthcare field.
• Understand insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage.
• Have knowledge of government and patient assistance programs.

In order to be successful in this role, you must:

• Verify insurance coverage for both new and existing patients.
• Process patient prescription orders in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers.

This is a full-time position. We're open Monday thru Friday from 8am-6pm and you must be willing to work 40 hours within this schedule. No weekends, limited holidays, and covered parking on-site.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience with medical insurance, benefits verification, medical billing, or patient/healthcare customer service.

Requirements

• Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Healthcare related field.
• Pharmacy experience (PBM, Specialty, etc).
• Previous experience working with Prior Authorizations.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party vendors.
• Healthcare related certifications and/or licensure.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $34.15. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
