Student Nurse Extern I

Utilizing the nursing process, Nurse Extern I is a nursing student who provides holistic nursing care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel.  Within 6 months of graduation, Nurse Extern I is eligible for the Nurse Extern II/Clinical Partner role.

• Must be currently enrolled in and attending an accredited nursing program.
• Successfully completed a second clinical rotation and/or if already a CNA, then one clinical rotation.
• Above average grade point average as evidenced by school transcripts.
• Two letters of  recommendation from a clinical instructor.
• Successfully completed revelant theory and/or clinical courses for identified specialty areas.
