Unity developer needed for hands-on repair minigames (first person, URP)
Auto ImportI am working on a first person property management game in Unity 6 (URP,
new Input System, C#). The game already has a full loop for owning and
renting homes. What I need now is the fun part of the maintenance side:
small hands-on repair interactions.
Here is the idea. The player walks up to a broken prop (sink, toilet,
sofa, that kind of thing, the props already exist in the project) and
presses a key. The camera moves in close on the prop, and the player
does a short physical task to fix it. Examples of what I have in mind:
Wrap duct tape around a leaking pipe by moving the mouse around it.
Unscrew a few screws, pull the old pipe out, put the new one in,
screw it back down.
Spray insect killer on roaches and watch them scatter.
Vacuum up a mess until the spot is clean.
Plunge a toilet with a satisfying push rhythm.
I am open to your ideas too. If you have a better or funnier way to do
any of these, pitch it. The goal is that each fix takes maybe 10 to 20
seconds and feels tactile, not a loading bar with extra steps.
What I need delivered:
A small reusable system: point it at a prop, pick which minigame it
uses, and it handles the camera move in and out and the completion
callback. I will hook it into my game myself.
Five or six finished minigames using that system.
Simple tool models or placeholder tools are fine. I can replace art.
Clean readable C# I can extend later with more minigames on my own.
You would work in a small test scene, not my full project. I will
provide the prop models and a sample first person setup.
Fixed price preferred. When you apply, tell me roughly how you would
build the tape one, and link anything you have made that feels similar
(minigames, interaction systems, physics toys). That one paragraph
matters more to me than a long cover letter.
